Oscar-nominated live-action short film โAnujaโ is all set for a Netflix release on February 5, the streamer announced on Thursday.

Billed as a hopeful and heartfelt tale of resilience, love, sisterhood and opportunity amidst hardship, โAnujaโ has Hollywood star-writer Mindy Kaling on board as producer, with two-time Oscar winner Guneet Monga while superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas is the executive producers. โAnujaโ is directed by Adam J Graves.

Kaling expressed gratitude to Netflix for showcasing the movie on their platform.ย โIt is a dream come true to have โAnujaโ on Netflix, where it can be seen by the worldwide audience it deserves. In the live-action short film category at the upcoming 97th Academy Awards, โAnujaโ will compete with โA Lienโ,โIโm Not a Robotโ, โThe Last Rangerโ and โThe Man Who Could Not Remain Silentโ.

โAnujaโ is produced in collaboration with the Salaam Baalak Trust (SBT), a nonprofit founded by filmmaker Mira Nairโs family in support of street and working children, alongside Shine Global, and Krushan Naik Films.
