Punjabi comedian Jaswinder Bhalla passes away at age 65


The Punjabi entertainment industry is mourning the sudden loss of iconic comedian and educator Jaswinder Bhalla, who passed away early this morning at Fortis Hospital in Mohali. Renowned for his incisive wit, innate sense of humour, and flawless comedic timing, Dr Bhalla delighted audiences for many years and established himself as a timeless character in Punjabi cinema.

After being admitted to Fortis Hospital, Dr Bhalla, 65, passed away early on August 22. Fans and colleagues alike were shocked to learn of his passing, and the Punjabi entertainment community as a whole is in deep mourning. The Balongi cremation ground in Mohali will host his funeral on Saturday at noon. ย Family members, close friends, industry colleagues, and countless admirers are expected to attend and pay their final respects to the legendary comedian.

He delighted audiences with memorable parts in many successful movies over the years. One of his most famous roles is that of ‘Advocate Dhillon’ in Carry On Jatta (2012) and Carry On Jatta 2 (2018). Additionally, he played outstanding comedic parts in popular films like Mr. & Mrs. 420 (2014), Yaar Anmulle (2011), Mundeyan Ton Bachke Rahin (2014), and the Jatt & Juliet series.
