Indian equity benchmark indices, the Sensex and Nifty, started Friday’s trading session in the green amid positive global cues. The 30-share BSE Sensex added 210.22 points to start the session at 81,758.95; the Nifty gained 68.95 points to open at 25,074.45. From the Sensex pack, Infosys, Maruti, Axis Bank, and Larsen & Toubro were among the major gainers, with Infosys leading the pack by jumping around 2 per cent in the early trade today. On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever, Eternal, HDFC Bank, ITC and State Bank of India were among the laggards, with Hindustan Unilever shedding around 1.22 per cent in the opening trade.ย

“Fresh long positions should only be considered if the Nifty sustains above the 25,160 level.
