Gaza peace deal: In a long post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump also criticised Hamas for the October 7 massacre, calling it a “ruthless and violent threat”.
US President Donald Trump on Friday issued a stern warning to Hamas and set a Sunday deadline for the Palestinian group to accept his 20-point peace proposal. Warning the group, the US President said “all hells will break out” if Hamas fails to accept his peace proposal.
In a long post on Truth Social, Trump also criticised Hamas for the October 7 massacre, calling it a “ruthless and violent threat”. As a retribution for the October 7 attacks, Trump said Hamas has already lost more than 25,000 of its ‘soldiers’, while the rest are surrounded and ‘militarily trapped’.
“As for the rest, we know where and who you are, and you will be hunted down, and killed,” Trump said. “I am asking that all innocent Palestinians immediately leave this area of potentially great future death for safer parts of Gaza. Everyone will be well cared for by those that are waiting to help.”
“Fortunately for Hamas, however, they will be given one last chance! Great, powerful, and very rich Nations of the Middle East, and the surrounding areas beyond, together with the United States of America, have agreed, with Israel signing on, to PEACE, after 3000 years, in the Middle East,” he added.
Trump said his 20-point peace proposal, whose “details are known” to the entire world, will ‘spare’ the lives of the rest of Hamas fighters. The deal will help in bringing peace to the Middle East, Trump said, adding that it would stop the ‘violence and the bloodshed’.
The Republican President also urged the Palestinian group to release all hostages, including the bodies of those who have died.ย
“An Agreement must be reached with Hamas by Sunday Evening at SIX (6) P.M., Washington, D.C. time. Every Country has signed on! If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” Trump said, while warning Hamas.ย
Trump’s 20-point peace plan
On Monday, Trump unveiled his 20-point peace plan, aiming to end the conflict in Gaza. The plan states that Hamas should release all remaining Israeli hostages. The plan also calls for an Israeli troop withdrawal, but only if Hamas disarms itself.ย
It also states that Israel would continue to maintain a security perimeter presence in the region, and Hamas would have no part in administering Gaza. As per the plan, humanitarian aid would also be allowed into Gaza by neutral international organisations such as the United Nations (UN) and the Red Crescent.ย
