The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday carried out search operations at six locations in Kolkata, including a property owned by West Bengal minister Sujit Bose, as part of its investigation into alleged irregularities in the recruitment process of a civic organisation, according to a senior ED official.ย
The raids targeted Boseโs residence-cum-office in Salt Lake and the homes of former officials of the Dum Dum Municipality.

The official clarified, โTodayโs raids are aimed at collecting documents linked to corruption. The office of the minister was not originally on our list.โ This indicates that the inclusion of Boseโs property was a later addition to the operation.
Previously, in January 2024, the ED had conducted a raid at Boseโs residence and interrogated him for over 12 hours in connection with the same recruitment irregularity case. The ongoing investigation focuses on gathering evidence related to alleged corrupt practices in the civic organisationโs hiring process.
