Rapper Big Sean has shut down allegations that he has a new girlfriend amid rumours of his break up with singer Jhenรฉ Aiko, his partner of nearly 10 years.

Sean replied to the report that he was spotted with a woman who is allegedly his new partner through several comments he left under an Instagram post calling it fake news.

“Yeah unfortunately I never met this person in my life lol,” he wrote on Thursday. The rapper went on to explain that he “don’t even know” the woman in question. He added: “This girl was standing next to @hitboy who is cut out the video. I dont know why the fuck she was so close to me though. I didnt see it at all til i saw this video and can understand the frustrations. Smh [crying laughing emoji] But i dont even know this person at all.”

According to reports, Sean was spotted with an alleged new girlfriend in a new video clip that surfaced online recently.

The development comes close on the heels of reports that Sean and Aiko had split up over the rapperโs allegedย refusal to get married.

The pair began dating in 2016, just a couple of months after releasing their debut album โTwenty88โ under their collaborative duo of the same name. They later welcomed their first child together, Noah, in November 2022.

In a previous interview, sharing his viewpoint on marriage, Sean had said: “marriage symbolises the best relationship,” and that “having a relationship is first and foremost.”

The rapper also said marriage isn’t off the table for him and Aiko, but they havenโt yet reached the point where they are ready to take that step.

“There’s a lot of work that needs to be done,” Sean had said.
