Will Smith sued for sexual harassment

Actor-rapper Will Smith is in legal trouble.

ย

Violinist Brian King Joseph has accused the 57-year actor and his company, Treyball Studios Management, of sexual harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation.

ย

Joseph says he was first hired by Smith in November 2024 to perform at a San Diego show. He was later invited to be a part of Will’s tour โ€œBased on a True Story: 2025โ€, in November 2024.

ย

The complaint alleges that the โ€œBad Boysโ€ star โ€œwas deliberately grooming and priming Mr. Joseph for further sexual exploitationโ€.

ย

The complaint lists a โ€œtraumatic series of eventsโ€ in March 2025 during Smithโ€™s tour. Joseph alleges that he found that someone had entered his Las Vegas hotel room when he was not there.

ย

Evidence โ€œof a sexual threat of violenceโ€ allegedly included a handwritten note reading, โ€œBrian, Iโ€™ll be back…just us,โ€ with a drawn heart and signed, โ€œStone F,โ€ as well as โ€œwipes, a beer bottle, a red backpack, a bottle of HIV medication with another individualโ€™s name, an earring, and hospital discharge paperwork belonging to a person unbeknownst toโ€ Joseph.

ย

Joseph alleges that he “feared that an unknown individual would soon return to his room to engage in sexual acts” with him.

ย

The complaint further states that after Joseph reported the incident to hotel staff, a local non-emergency police line and Smithโ€™s team, a member of the tour management team โ€œshamedโ€ Joseph and informed him that he was being terminated.

The incident caused Joseph โ€œsevere emotional distress, economic loss, reputational harm, and other damages,โ€ including โ€œPTSD and other mental illness as a result of the termination,โ€ reads the complaint.

ย

Smithโ€™s attorney Allen B. Grodsky, however, rubbished the allegations. โ€œMr. Josephโ€™s allegations concerning my client are false, baseless, and reckless.”

“They are categorically denied, and we will use all legal means available to address these claims and to ensure that the truth is brought to light.”

ย

Earlier on December 1, a $3 million lawsuit was filed by former associate Bilaal Salaam (a.k.a. Brother Bilaal) against Smithโ€™s wife, Jada Pinkett, claiming that she verbally threatened him.
