Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor feels not every film can be turned into a sequel.

The actor was replying to a fan query about the possibility of โRockstar 2โ and โYeh Jawaani Hai Deewani 2โ during a live interaction on Instagram through the account of his lifestyle brand, Ark.

Ranbir also said after a three-year wait, he will have back-to-back movie releases, starting with โRamayanaโ from Nitesh Tiwari.

โMy next release is โRamayanaโ, which is coming out in Diwali, and after that will be โLove & Warโ,” he said.

Billed as an ambitious cinematic event, โRamayanaโ features Kapoor as Lord Ram, โKGFโ star Yash as Ravana, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Ravie Dubey as Lord Lakshman.

Kapoor said working on “Love & War”, which reunites him with acclaimed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been an “amazing experience”.

“It blows my mind that a director for four decades is best at what he does. It is special,โ the 43-year-old actor said, without divulging the timeline of the release of โ’Love & War’โ.

โLove & Warโ also features Kapoorโs actor wife, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal.

Speaking about the delayed release of his movies, Kapoor, whose last work was Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film “Animal”, said โgood things take timeโ and added that he is hoping audiences will enjoy those films when they arrive on the big screen.

Kapoor also said he will soon begin work on โBrahmastraโ and โAnimal 2โ.

Heaping praises on the cast of blockbuster โDhurandharโ, Ranbir said it was his โcurrent favouriteโ film. โThe last current favourite movie I saw was โDhurandharโ, and I absolutely loved it. The entire cast and crew smashed it,โ the actor said.

โMy current favourite songs I’m listening to are all the amazing tracks from โDhurandharโ,โ he added.

Released on December 5, 2025, โDhurandharโ featured Ranveer Singh in the lead role alongside Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, Sara Arjun and Rakesh Bedi.
