Actors Tom Burke and Eve Hewson are coming together for filmmaker Lenny Abrahamson’s upcoming film for Element Pictures. The film is yet to be named.
A poignant snapshot of Jewish community in 1970s Dublin, the film centres on Davey, a 12-year-old boy (to be played by newcomer Sean Meagher) caught between the innocence of childhood and the anxieties of youth. As he matures, he must reconcile his own evolution with the fracturing stability of his parents’ relationship.
Abrahamson, known for directing “Room” and “Normal People”, reunites with long-term collaborators Element Pictures, for the film the shooting of which is set to start in Dublin from March 2.
