After having played siblings on โGame of Thronesโ for a long time, actors Sophie Turner and Kit Harington are having a dreadful time filming steamy scenes for their upcoming gothic horror film โThe Dreadfulโ.

A behind-the-scenes video from the filmโs shooting showed the pairโwho grew close playing siblings Sansa and Jon Stark for nearly a decadeโplayfully gagging and retching the moment their onscreen kiss ended.

The crewโs laughter erupts as the stars pretend to be sick, highlighting the awkwardness of their new romantic dynamic.

Earlier, during a July 2025 interview, Turner, 29, jokingly apologised to โGame of Thronesโ fans, saying, “It’s really weird for all of usโ that she and Harington, 39, are playing “loversโ in the new horror film.

On โLate Night with Seth Meyersโ in August 2025, the mother of two recalled that she and her old friend were โboth retchingโ during their intimate scenes.

Looking at the script for โThe Dreadfulโ before shooting, she saw nothing but “kiss, kiss, sex, kiss, sex,โ she quipped. “I’m like, ‘Oh, shoot … that’s my brother.'”

More recently, Harington said in an interview that his intimate scenes with his former onscreen sister were uncomfortable for a different reason.

“It was slightly embarrassing, having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me,” he said in November 2025. “But other than that, my dignity was pretty intact.”

In September 2024, Turner said in another interview that she was the one who suggested the โIndustryโ star for the part.

โThey were trying to find someone for that role, and I was like, โYou canโt not have Kit,โโ she said at the time. โItโs set around the time of the โWars of the Rosesโ, so weโll probably be floating about in robes on clifftops again.โ

The โGame of Thronesโ cast has remained close since the HBO fantasy dramaโs conclusion in 2019. Harington has been married to co-star Rose Leslie since 2018 and they share two children.
