The teaser of the upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla was unveiled on March 12, giving audiences their first look at the film that brings actor Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan back together after a gap of 14 years.

The actor-director, known for delivering several hit comedies over the years, reunite with a film that mixes supernatural elements with their signature slapstick humour.

The teaser introduces viewers to a mysterious mansion that serves as the central setting of the story. In a humorous moment, Akshay Kumar’s character describes the enormous property as being ‘only two rooms smaller than Buckingham Palace’, immediately establishing the film’s light-hearted take on horror.
Despite the creepy atmosphere of the mansion, his character repeatedly insists that ghosts do not exist.

A significant portion of the teaser highlights the interactions between Kumar’s character and the one played by Wamiqa Gabbi. While Gabbi’s character becomes increasingly convinced that paranormal forces are at play, Kumar’s character remains firmly sceptical, creating the comedic tension seen throughout the footage.

The teaser also reveals a large ensemble cast that includes Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Asrani, Manoj Joshi, Tabu, Mithila Palkar and Jisshu Sengupta.
Beyond the humour, the teaser also hints at a darker legend connected to the mansion. A local warning suggests that no one should get married inside the castle due to an ancient supernatural curse, indicating that the plot may revolve around uncovering the mystery behind the haunted estate.

The teaser blends eerie visuals with Priyadarshan’s trademark situational comedy and classic slapstick sequences. Its nostalgic tone has already drawn comparisons with the duo’s earlier collaborations, including films such as Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Phir Hera Pheri and Bhagam Bhag, all of which were widely loved by audiences.

Soon after the teaser was released on social media by the makers, fans quickly filled the comments section with enthusiastic reactions.
