On the first day of release, “Bhooth Bangla”, featuring Akshay Kumar, has grossed Rs 21.60 crore at the domestic box office. The Bollywood film, which was released in theatres on Friday, is directed by Priyadarshan and also features Wamiqa Gabbi, Paresh Rawal, and Tabu in pivotal roles.

The movie is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures, a division of Balaji Telefilms Ltd, in association with Cape of Good Films, and is produced by Kumar along with Shobha Kapoor and Ektaa R Kapoor.

Gabbi shared the box office numbers with a post on her Instagram handle on Saturday.

The film also reunites Kumar with the filmmaker after 15 years.

The duo has previously collaborated on hit comedies such as “Hera Pheri”, “Garam Masala”, “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”, and “Bhagam Bhag”, with their last outing being “Khatta Meetha” in 2010.

Kumar is also set to feature in Priyadarshan’s upcoming film “Haiwaan”, which also features Saif Ali Khan.
