Ariana Grande has officially announced her eighth studio album โPetalโ, a project executive produced and co-authored alongside frequent collaborator Ilya.

Scheduled for a July 31 release under Republic Records, Grande describes the album as a vibrant collection representing resilience and “growing through the cracks” of difficult, cold circumstances.

Co-producer Ilya Salmanzadeh, a Swedish-Persian talent and protรฉgรฉ of Max Martin, returns to helm this project following his extensive contributions to Grandeโs 2024 hit โEternal Sunshineโ.

The album has been long awaited, as Grande has been teasing it with photos of herself in the studio and announced a summer tour coming in June. The announcement comes on the heels of her three years of work around the film โWickedโ and its sequel, alongside the success of โEternal Sunshineโ and its subsequent 2025 deluxe release.

Though her upcoming world tour was originally conceptualised around โEternal Sunshineโ, the new album will likely serve as a central focus of the set list. Grande had earlier hinted that this tour could be her last “for a long time.โ

โThe last 10 or 15 years will look very different to the ones that are coming up,โ Grande said in an interview last year on Amy Poehlerโs โGood Hangโ podcast. โI donโt want to say anything definitive. I do know that Iโm very excited to do this small tour, but I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time. Iโm going to give it my all and itโs going to be beautiful. I think thatโs why Iโm doing it because Iโm like, โOne last hurrah!โโ
