To mark Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit’s 58th birthday on Friday, streaming giant Netflix announced that her upcoming crime comedy “Maa Behen” is set to premiere on June 4.
Directed by Suresh Triveni of “Tumhari Sulu” and “Jalsa” fame, the movie also stars Triptii Dimri and digital influencer Dharna Durgaa.
The fast-paced plot centres on Dixit’s character, Rekha, a stressed mother whose chaotic routine is turned completely upside down when she discovers a dead body hidden in her kitchen.
“With her two daughters, Jaya (Dimri), the responsible one, and Sushma (Durgaa), the wild card, this trio must think fast, lie faster, and somehow keep their nosy neighbours from sniffing out the truth,” read the official logline.
The movie also features Ravi Kishan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Arunoday Singh, and Shardul Bhardwaj in pivotal roles. It is produced by Abundantia Entertainment Production in association with Opening Image Films.
