Amy Schumer was living her best single life when a medical mishap threw a wrench in.
ย
Months after her breakup with husband Chris Fischer in December last year, the โTrainwreckโ star admits she is feeling less like herself due to a “botched colonoscopy”.
ย
The procedure did not go quite as planned, leaving the notoriously candid comedian dealing with some unexpected physical downtime.
ย
โI feel happier than Iโve ever been before,โ Amy said during the podcast โNot Skinny But Not Fatโ, to which host Amanda Hirsch hinted at her recent weight loss and asked, โDoes it have to do with being really hot?โ
ย
And Amy appreciated the compliment, she said, โI actually had kind of a botched colonoscopy, so Iโm not feeling very sexual.โ
ย
Amy, who shares 7-year-old son Gene with Chris, did not divulge additional details of the procedure. โSee, thatโs another thing youโre not going to have to worry about for 15 years,โ she joked.
ย
Never been one to sugarcoat things, Amy has always kept it completely real whether it is her career or relationships.

The 44-year-old star has openly shared her medical history with her fans, including her battle with Cushing syndrome, a condition she credits with heavily reshaping her approach to weight loss.
ย
โI didnโt lose 30lbs, I lost 50,โ Amy wrote in the December 2 post. โNot to look hot which does feel fun and temporary. I did it to survive. I had a disease that makes your face extremely puffy and can kill you but the internet caught it and that disease has cleared.โ
ย
Amy added of her personal health, โSorry for whatever feeling itโs giving you that I lost weight. Iโve had plastic surgery over the years and I use Mounjaro.โ
ย
The โI Feel Prettyโ star has also previously emphasised that she has always been comfortable in her own skin, but that her physical transformation has been part of an overall wellness journey.
ย
“I have been working to be pain free and I finally am. My endometriosis is better. My back is healing. I no longer have Cushing syndrome so my face went back to normal. I am grateful to be strong and healthy, especially for my son,โ she wrote in an Instagram post in November last year.
ย
She added, โIโm proud of how Iโve looked always.โ
