As soon as she finished her final climb at Snowdon, Catherine was welcomed by Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, along with her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother, James Middleton. While the Princess completed each arduous climb on her own, she was supported by Mountain Rescue teams throughout the journey.

On Sunday, she shared a photograph from the summit of Ben Nevis on social media, reflecting on why she decided to take on the challenge following her own experience with the illness. She noted that every year, hundreds of thousands of people across the country hear the words no one ever wants to hear, initiating a path that tests every part of their being physically, emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually. She added that the challenges ripple outwards, affecting families, friendships, work, and the quiet moments spent alone.

Taking into consideration the significant effect that the disease has had on her life, the Princess noted that cancer is not only physical; it changes the way one perceives things and feels, affecting everything in his/her life. Having gone through this herself, the Princess pointed out that going through the process of treatment involves much more than the use of medication alone. Announcing her remission in January 2025, having previously stated that she was suffering from cancer the year before, the Princess noted that it involves much more than getting to the top of the mountains.
