Zendaya is gushing over husband Tom Holland’s commitment to “Spider-Man” ahead of the release of their upcoming film “Spider-Man: Brand New Day”.
“It definitely wouldn’t be the movie that it is without Tom Holland, not just because he’s Spider-Man, but because of all the work that he’s doing behind the camera,” said the 29-year-old actress in a new video clip.
“He cares so much about the character. He cares so much about the people who relate and connect to the character, and wants to do justice to Peter Parker’s story and what he means to so many people,” the “Dune” star remarked.
The British actor has been playing Spider-Man since 2016.
Zendaya said “nothing gets past” Holland during production. “He really is so committed and so thoughtful about every aspect of Spider-Man, but Peter Parker too,” she added.

Zendaya and Tom met in 2016 during the shooting of “Spider-Man: Homecoming”. After years of relationship speculation, the duo confirmed its relationship in 2021. They got engaged in 2025. Holland confirmed their marriage during an interview in June this year.
“I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period,” the actor said.
Meanwhile, a synopsis for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” says: “It’s a brand new day for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.”
It adds, “But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”
Zendaya reprises her role as MJ in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movie that also features Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando and Mark Ruffalo.
“Spider-Man: Brand New Day” will hit theatres on July 31.
