Actor Ali Fazal has expressed his gratitude to fans for their support of his character, SI Jayprakash Jatav, in the Prime Video series โRaakh.โ The crime thriller has become the platformโs most-watched non-English title globally.

Sharing a handwritten note on social media, Fazal said he was overwhelmed by the responses received over the past few weeks. He wrote that reading so many messages from all over had left his heart full, thanking viewers for watching the show and accepting SI Jayprakash Jatav with all his flaws, his presence, his fears, his silences, and his few words.

Fazal mused about the connection between actors and audience, saying that an actor gets a sense of fulfillment when his character touches the hearts of the audience. Moreover, Fazal mentioned that characters find themselves at home within the hearts of the people and that it is now their possession forever.

โRaakh,โ set in late-1970s Delhi, centres on the aftermath of a brutal crime that devastates families and spreads fear throughout the city. The series is loosely inspired by the notorious Ranga-Billa case that shocked India in 1978.
