The megastar Amitabh Bachchan has now clarified his health situation after there has been a great deal of concern due to a previous post regarding surgery and being admitted in ICU. The actor wrote in a blog post dated July 21 about his own experience of being admitted in hospitals and undergoing surgery and recovery in ICU, which left the fans concerned and sparked many speculations in social media platforms. Nevertheless, Bachchan, in a further blog post, clarified that his earlier statements had been misinterpreted, and they were simply a figure of speech about the loss of Argentina in the 2026 FIFA World Cup match.

The misunderstanding was cleared when the actor said that he was directly making a comparison between physical recovery and mental shock from losing a big match. He explained that just as the hardest phase for a patient comes after leaving the ICU when returning home to face a weakened body, a sporting icon faces their toughest mental challenge in the immediate wake of losing a championship. Reassuring his readers that the reference was about Lionel Messi and the Argentine team rather than his own medical state, he noted how easily the public had misconstrued the analogy.

Commenting on the essence of competition, Bachchan further observed that all winners need to accept the fact that one day there would come another who would replace them because no matter how tough it is for champions to do so. He compared the ability of the team to bounce back with the bodyโs capability of healing, stating that though the body or champion may never be the same again, determination and effort can produce amazing results.

The confusion arose from a previous post made by Bachchan wherein he mentioned that he was under the treatment of highly skilled medical practitioners during his surgery and intensive care observation before discharging himself at home. Now that his health issues are no more a worry for him, he is busy with his acting career having acted in the sci-fi thriller movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ starring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan.
