Christopher Nolanโs Odyssey has earned $1 billion in worldwide revenues, becoming the second biggest hit of his career after The Dark Knight Rises.

The two-time Oscar-winning director will soon witness Odyssey becoming the biggest movie of his career, overtaking The Dark Knight Rises ($1.085 billion), which was released in 2012.

As per the charts, the film has crossed $429.7 million domestically and $570.3 million overseas.

The movie is doing exceptionally well in overseas markets, including in the West and parts of Asia.

It opened in Korea on Wednesday and will land in China on August 14.

The movie is set to open in Japan on September 11. According to recent updates, IMAX auditoriums are near sell-outs in key box office markets like Los Angeles and New York City through until October 2026.

This weekend, Odyssey will co-share IMAX hubs with Brand New Day stateside.

Odysseyโs highest-grossing markets as of August 7 and August 8 are UK/Ireland ($75.3M), France ($52.4M), Italy ($46.9M), Germany ($35.2M), Australia ($29.8M), Mexico ($28M), Spain ($27.3M), India ($19.6M), Netherlands ($13.9M) and Saudi Arabia ($13.1M).

Combined, Brand New Day and Odyssey count $2.1 billion at the global box office. They will soon steamroll the combined $2.4 billion global gross of Barbenheimer in 2023 โ $1.44 billion for Barbie and $975.8 million for Nolanโs Oppenheimer.

The film is now the 65th overall to cross $1 billion at the worldwide box office.
