Mumbai: Snapping their losing streak, precious metals have registered a strong rebound, buoyed by a softer dollar. The strong recovery comes amid possibilities of a de-escalation of the Iran war and negotiations between the United States and Iran. The gold April 2 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a gain of Rs 4,167 or 2.99 per cent at Rs 1,43,079 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 1,38,912.
