Cabinet clears Rs 3,631 crore plan to link Jewar International Airport with Faridabad, Gurugram

Noida: The Union Cabinet on Tuesday approved a revised project cost of Rs 3,630.77 crore for the development of a new road corridor that will improve access to the upcoming Jewar International Airport in Uttar Pradesh. The decision was taken by the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The project involves the construction of a 31.42-kilometre greenfield road that will connect the airport with the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway through the Delhi-Faridabad-Ballabhgarh-Sohna spur. Sufficient LPG stock in India right now, no need to increase prices: Govt sources

New Delhi: Amid reports of an LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) shortage, government sources on Tuesday said sufficient stock is available and production has been increased by 10 per cent. Sources also said that India is sourcing supplies from approximately 40 countries and has increased the share of gas imports from outside the Strait of Hormuz to 70 per cent, up from 55 per cent earlier. Govt invokes ESMA to ensure supply of natural gas amid US-Israel-Iran war, here’s what it means

New Delhi: The government has invoked the Essential Commodities Act of 1955 (popularly called ESMA) in order to ensure the supply of natural gas amid the US-Israel-Iran war.
