Blast near BJP leader’s house; party chief reacts

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has condemned a recent incident near the home of BJP leader Sobha Surendran in Thrissur, Kerala. Firecrackers were allegedly burst close to her residence, raising serious concerns about safety. Chandrasekhar called it a “bomb attack attempt” and strongly criticised the act.   In a statement, he said Sobha Surendran is a respected senior leader and popular among Malayalis. AIMIM wins Hyderabad MLC poll after 22 years

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) won the Hyderabad Local Bodies MLC election.   AIMIM canditate Mirza Riyaz Ul Hasan, secured 63 votes. He defeated Bharatiya Janata Party’s Gautham Rao, who got 25 votes.   This was a straight contest between AIMIM and the Bharatiya Janata Party. Congress and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) did not field candidates. The election drew attention as it was held after a gap of 22 years. Congress slams security lapse in Pahalgam Terror attack

Two days after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam that killed 26 people, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) passed a resolution on Thursday strongly condemning the attack.
