Blast near BJP leader’s house; party chief reacts

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president Rajeev Chandrasekhar has condemned a recent incident near the home of BJP leader Sobha Surendran in Thrissur, Kerala. Firecrackers were allegedly burst close to her residence, raising serious concerns about safety. Chandrasekhar called it a “bomb attack attempt” and strongly criticised the act.   In a statement, he said Sobha Surendran is a respected senior leader and popular among Malayalis. The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) won the Hyderabad Local Bodies MLC election.   AIMIM canditate Mirza Riyaz Ul Hasan, secured 63 votes.
