India release of ‘The Voice of Hind Rajab’ stalled

The India release of the Oscar-nominated "The Voice of Hind Rajab" is currently on hold.   Despite the Central Board of Film Certification finding nothing objectionable during a February screening, distributor Manoj Nandwana is still awaiting the necessary censor certificate.   The Oscar-nominated film, that tells the story of a five-year-old Palestinian girl killed by Israeli forces in 2024, was acquired for release in India as well as Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Afghanistan and Bangladesh by Nandwana.   The screening was held in late February when Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a two-day state visit to Israel.   "The…
