Comedian Samay Raina summoned by Maharashtra cyber cell

Comedian Samay Raina has been summoned by the Maharashtra Cyber Department and Mumbai Police to appear before them in the next five days in connection with the controversial remarks made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on a web show, officials said on Thursday.   Raina is in the US and has sought more time to appear before the probing authorities, they said.   The cyber cell and the Mumbai police are conducting separate investigations in connection with social media influencer Allahbadia's remarks on Raina's YouTube show "India's Got Latent".   While the Mumbai police have asked Raina to record his statement…

Cyber Cell books 40 people over India’s Got Latent controversy

The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has registered a case against the online show India's Got Latent following controversy over remarks made by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia. Authorities confirmed on Tuesday that legal action has been initiated against 30 to 40 individuals associated with the programme from its inaugural episode onwards. A Cyber Cell official stated, "A case has been filed against all individuals involved in the show from episode one to episode six.
