Supermodel Gigi Hadid has broken her silence on the disturbing mention of her name in the Jeffrey Epstein-related files. The files were recently released by the US Department of Justice (DOJ).
ย
In a December 2015 email exchange, a redacted individual questioned Epstein about Gigi and her sister Bella Hadidโs professional success. โHow did the Hadid sisters became models and make so much money?! I donโt understandโฆโ the individual questioned.
ย
To this, the disgraced financier replied, โYou know.โ The individual wrote back, โThe father paid the agency,โ to which the late sex offender responded, โNo.โ Later in the exchange, he added, โBecause they follow directions, its that simple.โ
ย
When a social media user commented on Hadidโs March 29 Instagram post that they โhad to unfollowโ the 30-year-old because she โainโt talk bout those files,โ she replied that the documents โmade me sick to my stomach.โ

โHorrible to read someone youโve never met speak about you that way. Especially in this context,โ she explained in her March 30 message. โI didnโt comment bc I donโt want to take away from the stories of real victims of his; but your comment made me realize maybe its not clearโand itโs important to let you know.โ
ย
Hadid went on to add that while she โgrew up privileged,โ her parents Mohammed Hadid and Yolanda Hadid โprotected me and taught me the value of hard work,โ noting that after her signing to a modelling agency in 2012, โIโve worked hard every moment since.โ
ย
โTo be named in those files, I think I was 20-21 at the time he would have written that emailโis disturbing and I want to state unequivocally that I have never had any affiliation with that disgusting human being,โ said Hadid, who shares daughter Khai, 5, with ex Zayn Malik.
