Gold Price Today, Gold MCX Rate: Rates of precious metals in futures tumbled on Thursday, April 2, 2026, as President Donald Trump’s address to the nation failed to offer a clear timeline for ending the US-Iran war. The gold June 5 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a dip of Rs 1,218 or 0.79 per cent at Rs 1,52,490 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 1,53,708. It later fell to touch the low of Rs 1,47,100, a dip of Rs 6,608 or 4.29 per cent. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 1,48,796 with a fall of Rs 4,858 or 3.16 per cent.
On the MCX, the yellow metal futures for August 2026 were down by Rs 4,595 or 2.94 per cent to trade at Rs 1,51,538 per 10 grams in business turnover of 877 lots.ย
Silver Price On MCX
Similarly, the silver futures, maturing on May 5, 2026, started the session in the red. It started the trading session at Rs 2,42,800 against the previous close of Rs 2,43,501, a fall of Rs 701 or 0.28 per cent. Later, it touched the low of Rs 2,29,000, a fall of 14,201 or 5.83 per cent.ย

In the international market, the COMEX gold price was down by 3.46 per cent to approximately USD 4,646.8 per troy ounce. The spot gold price at 1 pm was USD 4,633.61 per ounce, down by USD 151.78 or 3.17 per cent.ย
