Gold, Silver Rates Today (August 18): In the international market, the COMEX gold price gained 0.39 per cent today to trade at around USD 3,395.7 per troy ounce. The spot gold price at 12:30 pm was USD 3,354.48 per ounce, up by 0.59 per cent.
The gold price on MCX gained on Monday, August 18, 2025, as investors await the outcome of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The gold October 3 contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) opened with a gain of Rs 122 at Rs 99,960 per 10 grams against the previous close of Rs 99,838. It further gained to hit the high of Rs 1,00,086. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 99,942 with a gain of Rs 104 or 0.10 per cent. In between, it touched a low of Rs 99,811.ย
Silver Price On MCX
Similarly, the silver futures, maturing on September 5, 2025, started the session in the green. The contract opened flat with a gain of Rs 8 at Rs 1,13,951 per kg on the MCX against the previous close of Rs 1,13,943. It gained further to touch a high of Rs 1,14,269. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 1,13,977 – a jump of Rs 34 or 0.03 per cent from the previous close. In between, it touched a low of Rs 1,13,772.
