Kangana Ranaut is officially running her own social media again, and this time, she wonโt holding anything back!
ย
At a promotional event in Mumbai for her upcoming film โBharat Bhhagya Viddhaataโ, the actress revealed she has taken back charge of her social media accounts from her team.
ย
Recalling how her X account was famously banned in 2021 for policy violations, Kangana made it clear she is not planning to filter herself now, stating that she refuses to apologise for being “alive and real.”
ย
“I asked my social media team, ‘What is this? Are you writing a letter to the headmaster with so much respect? What kind of captions are these? It feels like you are apologising to stay alive. So, I said, no, this is not going to go like that. Simple right things. I am eating this, so simply write this. It feels like you are apologetic for everything. That’s not how it’s going to work,'” Kangana said when questioned if she responds to fans herself on social media.

“And I think it’s not easy to be in the public space. It’s not like we don’t say anything that we are not ashamed of. Or we don’t feel bad. Or somehow, even if it’s a small thing, it becomes an angle of a photo. Or how we have ever styled something or said something. We feel, ‘Oh, that was a wrong decision; that was a wrong call.’ I could have done better. We feel like that. Now you don’t have to tell anyone,” Kangana said, highlighting the stress of living a public life under constant scrutiny.
ย
Notably, Ranaut’s official X account was permanently suspended on May 4, 2021, following what was termed as โrepeated violations of the platform’s hateful conduct and abusive behaviour policiesโ, specifically after controversial posts on post-election violence in West Bengal. After remaining banned for about two years, the suspension was revoked and Ranautโs account was restored on January 25, 2023.
ย
On the work front, Kangana will be seen next in โBharat Bhhagya Viddhaataโ. Written and directed by Manoj Tapadia, the film is set inside Cama Hospital on the night of the 26/11 attacks and chronicles how nurses, ward boys, cleaners, lift operators, security staff and administrative workers held their ground as terror unfolded outside.
ย
The film is scheduled to be released in theatres on June 12.
