BAFTA winning actor Kerry Condon is set to star alongside Maya Hawke in Netflix‘s “The God of the Woods”.
Helmed by executive producers and co-showrunners Liz Hannah and Liz Moore, who are adapting the latter’s bestseller, “The God of the Woods” is a multi-generational drama series set in the Adirondacks.
The show explores the dark secrets of Van Laar family, class divide, and the mysteries surrounding the disappearance of 13-year-old Barbara Van Laar from her family’s summer camp.
When the past finally catches up, the Van Laar dynasty’s facade of wealth crumbles, exposing the dark side of inherited power.

Condon stars as Alice Van Laar, a woman scarred by past family trauma and a loveless marriage, whose world shatters when her 13-year-old daughter vanishes. She is joined by Maya Hawke as Judy Luptack, a trailblasing investigator breaking barriers in a male-dominated bureau to find the missing girl.
Executive producers on “The God of the Woods” include Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty for Original Film. Sony Pictures Television is the studio.
Condon will next be seen alongside Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott in “Pressure”, a D-Day thriller adapted from David Haig’s 2014 stage play, which releases May 29.
