Laser Power & Infra shares shine in debut trade, list at over 25% premium over IPO price on BSE | Markets

Amid volatility in the benchmark indices, shares of Laser Power & Infra Ltd made a strong debut on the bourses on Thursday, July 16, 2026, listing at a 25 per cent premium over the issue price of Rs 214. The stock opened at Rs 269 on the BSE, up 25.70 per cent from the issue price. However, it later tumbled amid profit-booking, hitting a low of Rs 250 apiece. Last seen, it was trading at Rs 260 with a drop of Rs 9 or 3.35 per cent from the listing price and the market cap of the company stood at Rs 3,661.51.

On the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Laser Power & Infra’s shares debuted at Rs 250, registering a 16.82 per cent jump. In the intraday session, the stock climbed 25,22 per cent to hit a high of Rs 267.98.ย 

Received good response from investorsย 

Earlier, the Laser Power & Infra Ltd IPO saw a good response from investors, with a 38.94-times subscription on the closing day of bidding on Monday.

According to data available on the National Stock Exchange, the Rs 742-crore IPO received bids for 99,63,24,700 shares against 2,55,86,207 shares on offer.

The category for Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 92.25 times, while the non-institutional investor quota was subscribed 43.34 times. The portion for retail investors received 6.59 times subscription.
