American singer and songwriter Megan Moroney suffered a concussion during the filming of her latest action-packed music video “Wish I Didn’t”.

ย

The video, inspired by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s 2005 film โ€œMr. and Mrs. Smithโ€, features Dylan Efron opposite Moroney.

ย

The video released on Friday, after which the country singer revealed the details of the shooting process.

ย

โ€œGuys, the bruises on my knees after the fight sceneโ€ฆ It was wild,” Megan said on Stationhead livestream.

ย

“Knees were black. It was the end of the day, and we literally only did it twice because I was exhausted. But yeah, we had a stunt coordinator and everything. I need to show yโ€™all the plate getting smashed over my head,” the “Tennessee Orange” singer, 28, added.

“Yeah, I probably had a concussion over it, but anything for the music video.”

ย

The video captures Moroney and Efron, 33, playing a “seemingly perfect married couple living secret double lives as competing assassins.” Behind each other’s backs, they are doing their jobs as spies. By the end of the video, the pair launches into a full-blown fight scene at the dinner table where they throw each other around and smash items on each other’s heads.

ย

On Instagram, Efron shared behind-the-scenes footage of the music video. In a video featured in the carousel, Moroney ran to tackle him and they rolled over a couch as they continued to fight.

ย

Efron captioned the post: “she does her own stunts.”

ย

“Wish I Didn’t” is Moroney’s latest release from her forthcoming album Cloud 9, which will be out on February 20.
