You will never guess the hilarious reason why actor-singer Miley Cyrus got engaged to her boyfriend Maxx Morando.
Miley, 33, who confirmed her engagement to the musician on Tuesday after debuting her $150,000 ring on a recent red carpet event, appeared on Thursday’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live” where she joked that she only agreed to marry Morando, 27, due to a secret “phobia” she suffers from.
The former child star revealed to Kimmel that she “[hates] paper” and that even the sight of the host’s cue cards on his desk made her “want to vomit”.
The “Hannah Montana’ star said “the real problem is when people have dry hands and they touch paper.” Cyrus revealed that due to her intense fear, she makes her now fiancé Morando open all of her Amazon packages “outside” when they arrive at her Los Angeles home.
“That’s why I got engaged. I make my fiancé open all the packages outside,” she joked.

Kimmel jokingly pointed out to the Grammy Award-winning singer that it is actually tradition for the “first year [wedding] anniversary to be paper,” to which she retorted: “No here.”
Kimmel questioned Miley if she will “even sign the marriage certificate”. The singer then made a rare mention of her “last marriage” to ex Liam Hemsworth. She recalled that their marriage certificate was on “smooth paper,” which she said is “better.”
Miley and Liam got divorced in 2020 after just 13 months of marriage following a 10-year on and off romance.
“I think I remember that the paper is waxed,” she said. But Kimmel insisted that the paper used for a marriage certificate is “not waxed.”
Miley’s appearance on the show was part of the promotions for James Cameron’s latest Avatar film, “Avatar: Fire and Ash”, for which she has penned the ballad “Dream as One”.
