Nana Patekar’s Last Projects You’ll See After His Death

Nana Patekar’s death at the age of 75 has brought an end to the career of one of the most recognisable performers in Hindi and Marathi cinema. Known for his intense acting style and distinctive voice, the veteran actor died on Thursday (October 8) after suffering a severe cardiac arrest. He was administered continuous CPR for 45 minutes but could not be revived.

Patekar remained active in the later phase of his career, taking on roles across films and digital projects. His final body of work includes the web series Sankalp and the films Eetha and Shakti Shalini.

Sankalp

Created by Reshu Nath, Sankalp is a Hindi drama-thriller series featuring Sanjay Kapoor, Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub and Neeraj Kabi in important roles. Nana Patekar played Kanhaiya Lal in the series.

The show received a mixed response from viewers and critics and currently holds an IMDb rating of 6.9. It is available for streaming on MX Player.

Eetha

Eetha, starring Shraddha Kapoor, is another significant project from Patekar’s final period of work. Directed by Laxman Utekar, the Hindi biographical drama is based on the life of Vithabai Narayangaonkar, a renowned Marathi Tamasha and Lavani performer.

The film’s cast also includes Randeep Hooda, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Nana Patekar and Siddharth Jadhav in pivotal roles. It was initially scheduled to release on August 28, but the date was postponed. The film is now set to arrive in cinemas on December 4, 2026.

Shakti Shalini

Patekar is also part of the cast of Shakti Shalini, a horror comedy led by Aneet Padda. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, the film features Vineet Kumar Singh and Vishal Jethwa in key roles.

The project is being produced by Dinesh Vijan and Syed Zaid Ali under the Maddock Films banner. It was earlier expected to release in December 2026, but an official announcement on its release date is still awaited.
