“Only Murders in the Building” has officially expanded its star-studded roster for Season 6, introducing a spectacular wave of new talent.
Among the high-profile additions to the cast of the hit Hulu series is Irish actress Nicola Coughlan, who recently achieved global fame for her portrayal of Penelope Featherington in Netflix’s hit series “Bridgerton”.
Coughlan’s casting coincides with a major milestone for the comedy-mystery show: for the first time, the beloved crime-solving trio of Mabel (played by Selena Gomez), Charles (essayed by Steve Martin), and Oliver (played by Martin Short), are leaving the United States to tackle an international investigation in London.
To accompany the trio and Coughlan on their British escapade, the production has recruited a phenomenal line-up of talent, including “Doctor Who” stars David Tennant and Jodie Whittaker, Oscar-winner Jim Broadbent, comedian Richard Ayoade, along with Adrian Lukis and Kathryn Hunter.

Apart from starring as Penelope in all four seasons of “Bridgerton,” Coughlan was also seen in hit teen sitcom, “Derry Girls” and “Big Mood”. Recently, she appeared in “The Magic Faraway Tree,” and will be leading the Season 4 of “I Am.”
Meanwhile, Gomez has been on the star cast of Emmy nominated drama “Only Murders in the Building” since 2021. The actress-singer, along with Martin and Short, is part of a trio of strangers connecting over their shared interests in solving crimes. Shooting for the upcoming season reportedly started in London this May.
