He pointed to improvements in income levels and easing inflation, calling it โ€œgreat for all nations.โ€ Trump stressed the global impact of the US economy, saying, โ€œThe US is the economic engine for all nations on the planet. ‘Europe not heading in the right direction’

Trump called on Europe to adopt policies similar to the United States. โ€œI love Europe, and I want to see Europe go good, but itโ€™s not heading in the right direction,โ€ he said. Trump criticised Europeโ€™s rising government spending, migration rules, and trade policies, claiming these decisions have left parts of the continent โ€œunrecognisable.โ€ He added that Europe should โ€œdo what weโ€™re doingโ€ to strengthen its economy.

Trump on Venezuelaย

Trump said Venezuela moved quickly to strike a deal with Washington after sustained pressure from the United States. Trump claimed that the South American nation is now positioned to earn more money in the coming months than it has in the last two decades. He argued that Venezuelaโ€™s previous economic policies were poor and that pressure from the US led to a change in approach. โ€œOnce the attack ended, they said, letโ€™s make a deal. More people should do that,โ€ Trump said.ย

Trump on Greenlandย

The US President said that Greenland occupies a key strategic location but is largely undefended. He argued that no country other than the United States is capable of securing it effectively. Trump also criticized Denmark, calling the country ungrateful, while emphasizing Greenlandโ€™s importance for global security and strategic interests.

โ€œGreenland is a vast, almost entirely uninhabited and undeveloped territory, sitting undefended in a key strategic location between the US, Russia and China. Its importance has only grown with the increased prominence of rare earth metals. Thatโ€™s not the reason we need it, we need it for strategic national security and international securityโ€, he said.

He went on to claim that it is part of North America and therefore โ€œour territoryโ€.

โ€œIt is therefore a core national security interestโ€ of the US.

Trump repeated his claim that he prevented eight international conflicts last year, including a potential war between India and Pakistan. Since May, Trump has consistently highlighted his role in averting global crises, using even small developments to assert credit for maintaining peace.ย
