Indian Youth Congress protests against ‘anti-youth’ budget and deportations

The Indian Youth Congress protested on Thursday against what they called the "anti-youth" Union Budget. The group also protested the deportation of 104 Indians from the US, burning effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. A senior police officer said that more than 20 activists were detained during the protests. Madurai police file case against BJP leader over hate speech

Madurai police have filed a case against BJP leader H Raja for allegedly making an inciting speech during the Thiruparankundram protest. Andhra BJP calls for removal of 1,000 suspected non-Hindu staff from TTD

The Andhra Pradesh BJP has demanded that around 1,000 employees of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), suspected of practicing non-Hindu religions, be removed from their jobs. They called Tirumala the "spiritual capital of Hindus" and believe non-Hindu employees should not work there. Tharoor faces defamation charges, court hearing on April 28

The Delhi High Court has summoned Congress leader Shashi Tharoor following a defamation suit filed by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajeev Chandrasekhar.
