“Abbott Elementary” star Quinta Brunson shut down pregnancy rumours soon after fans went into a frenzy over a New Year’s Eve post on social media.

In the post, accompanied by a picture, Quinta can be seen wearing a white, knitted, bulky pullover with a matching beanie and a festive headband reading “2026.” The sweater accentuated her belly, making her fans and followers believe that she was pregnant.

Hours after, the 36-year-old actor took to her Instagram Story and wrote: “Not preggers. Sweater in odd position.”

She jokingly added, “Not 2026 already getting my ass.”

Notably, Quinta is not a fan of gossip about her personal life.

“People have this idea that people in the public eye want the public to know their every move,” she had said in an interview earlier last year. “None of us do. I promise you.”

The Emmy winner actor was livid over the narrative that she “announced her divorce” from Kevin Anik, when in actuality she had quietly filed for legal separation in March after three years of marriage.

“I didn’t announce anything,” she noted, explaining that her divorce papers were simply in the court’s “public record.”

She added of the headlines about her split, “I hated that. I hate all of it.”

“I love my fans,” Quinta shared. “But when it comes to matters of your personal life, you do have to tune it out.”
