Ruby Rose accuses Katy Perry of sexual assault

Actor Ruby Rose has made a shocking allegation against singer Katy Perry.

The “Orange Is the New Black” star claimed in a post shared on Threads that Perry “sexually assaulted” her at a nightclub in Melbourne 20 years ago.

Rose, 40, was replying to an article about Perry reacting to Justin Bieber’s Coachella performance.

She wrote in the comment section, “Katy Perry sexual assaulted me at spice market nightclub in Melbourne. Who gives a s— what she thinks.”

In another reply, Rose added that she was “only in my early 20s” at the time.

She responded to a fan by writing: “I told the story publicly but changed it to be a ‘funny little drunk story’ because I didn’t know how else to handle it,” Rose responded to another fan. “Later she agreed to help me get my US visa. So I kept it a secret. But I DID tell yall she wasn’t a good person. ”

“I was only in my early 20s. I’m now 40. It has taken almost 2 decades to say this publicly. Though I am so grateful to have made it long enough to find my voice, it just shows how much of an impact trauma and sexual assault takes. Thank you for seeing me,” Rose alleged.

Rose also noted she’s “not interested in filing a report” about the incident and explained: “You don’t need people to believe you, you just need to get it out of your poor body, before it gives you cancer.”

Meanwhile, a representative for Perry reacted to the claim in a statement saying: “The allegations being circulated on social media by Ruby Rose about Katy Perry are not only categorically false, they are dangerous reckless lies. Ms. Rose has a well-documented history of making serious public allegations on social media against various individuals, claims that have repeatedly been denied by those named.”

Perry attended Coachella with her partner, Justin Trudeau. The duo was in attendance for Justin Bieber’s April 11 headlining set, with Perry posting a video on social media in real time with her reaction to Bieber looking up YouTube videos on stage and singing along to them. She quipped: “Thank god he has Premium. I don’t wanna see no ads.”
