With ₹5,863 cr assets, AIADMK’s Leema Rose is TN’s richest candidate

AIADMK candidate Leema Rose has emerged as the richest contestant in the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, declaring total family assets worth Rs 5,863 crore in her nomination affidavit. Malayalam director Ranjith remanded to 14-day judicial custody

A court in Ernakulam on Wednesday remanded veteran Malayalam filmmaker Ranjith Balakrishnan to 14 days of judicial custody following his arrest in a sexual harassment case filed by a female actor.   Ranjith was produced before a magistrate early in the day after undergoing a medical examination at Ernakulam General Hospital.
