The second season of the romantic drama series Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar, starring Sanchita Basu and Dhawal Thakur, is all set to premiere on JioHotstar on June 19. The release date was announced by the makers on Monday alongside the launch of the show’s official trailer. The new season will see Basu and Thakur reprise their roles as Shanvika Chauhan and Kuldeep Kumar, respectively.
Season 2 promises a deeper and more intense narrative, with Kuldeep grappling with the consequences of his past actions. Torn between guilt, regret and lingering emotions, he finds himself pulled back into a complex world shaped by politics, power struggles, and unresolved relationships.

Meanwhile, Shanvika returns as a stronger and more determined woman. As she navigates the ruthless corridors of power, she refuses to be constrained by conventional expectations, even if it means redefining the nature of the relationships around her.
Speaking about her character’s evolution, Basu said Shanvika’s journey this season is far more layered and unpredictable.ย “She’s stronger, more guarded, and constantly questioning what love really means when power and betrayal enter the picture. What excited me most this season was that nothing is black or whiteโevery emotion comes with a consequence,” the actor said in a statement.
Thakur also shared insights into Kuldeep’s emotional arc, describing his character as someone burdened by his past while struggling to balance his feelings with societal expectations.ย “Kuldeep carries the weight of his past throughout the season. He’s emotional, conflicted, and constantly torn between what he feels and what the world expects from him. The trailer offers only a glimpse of how intense and personal his journey becomes this time. The scale has grown, but the emotional core remains very real,” he said.
The first season of Thukra Ke Mera Pyaar, which premiered in 2024, revolved around the romance between a wealthy young woman and a poor boy. What began as a love story gradually evolved into a gripping tale of class divide, wounded pride, revenge, and emotional conflict, earning the series a loyal audience.
