Kunal suspended from WB Assembly after disrupting rebel TMC chief

Trinamool Congress MLA Kunal Ghosh was suspended from the Assembly for the day after he interrupted rebel TMC Chief Whip Akhruzzaman during the Home and Hill Affairs budget discussion. After the Speaker's order, marshals forcefully took Kunal Ghosh out of the House. HC refuses ‘blanket protection’ to Abhishek in multiple FIR cases

Calcutta High Court on Thursday declined to grant interim “blanket protection” to Abhishek Banerjee, National General Secretary and MP of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), in connection with multiple cases filed against him across West Bengal.
